Terms of work

What you can expect from me, what I need from you, and the things I am not promising. Short on purpose.

Who you are dealing with

TUDOR NARCIS-DANIEL PERSOANĂ FIZICĂ AUTORIZATĂ, trading as Tudor Associates. CUI 50251068, Trade Register No. F40/4476/2024, registered at B-dul Bucureștii Noi 136, Parter, ap. 5, Sector 1, Bucharest, Romania.

What I do

I write copy. Web pages, ads, emails and product listings. For small presentation pages and small Shopify stores I also build the thing the copy sits on. I am not a developer, an agency or a media buyer, and I do not run your ad account.

How a job runs

  • You tell me what you want looked at and the one job you would most like more of. If I need more, I ask.
  • I give you a price and a date before I start. Prices quoted on this website are starting prices, and anything larger is quoted on what is actually there.
  • I write it and send it to you.
  • You read all of it. Then you pay.

If what I send is not what you asked for, you do not pay for it, and neither of us owes the other anything further.

Payment

Payment is due on delivery unless we agree otherwise in writing before I start. Larger jobs may be split, with part before and part on delivery, and I will say so when I quote. Invoices are issued from Romania and are subject to Romanian law.

Revisions

One round of revisions is included, and it means refining what you asked for: tightening a line, changing a name, adjusting a claim, correcting something I got wrong about your business. It does not mean rewriting to a different brief. If the brief changes, that is new work and I will quote it.

Who owns the words

Once you have paid in full, the copy is yours. You can use it, change it, reprint it and put your own name on it with no further permission from me and no credit required. Before payment, the copy remains mine.

Confidentiality and white label work

Anything you send me about your business is confidential. I do not publish, quote or use client work as an example anywhere without asking you first.

If you are a studio or an agency, work I do for your clients is yours to present as your own. I will not contact your client, and I will not name them or you as a client of mine without your permission.

What I do not promise

I do not guarantee results. I cannot promise a particular number of leads, a particular conversion rate, a particular position in search results, or a particular return on your advertising. Those depend on your prices, your market, your competitors, your ad spend, how quickly you answer your phone and a dozen other things outside my control.

What I will tell you is my professional opinion about what I think will work better and why. Where I give that opinion, it is clearly an opinion.

You are responsible for checking that any factual claim in the copy is true of your business before you publish it. If I write that you answer the phone on Sundays, that is because you told me you do, and whether it stays on your website is your decision.

If something goes wrong

Tell me. Most problems are a misunderstanding about the brief and they take one email to fix. My liability is limited to the amount you paid me for the piece of work in question.

Cancelling

Either of us can walk away before work starts, at no cost. If you cancel after I have started but before delivery, you pay for what has been written up to that point, and I will tell you honestly what that is.

Governing law

Romanian law applies, and the courts of Bucharest have jurisdiction.

Changes

These terms can change. The version that applies to your job is the version on this page on the day I quote you.
